The first Cook Islands Golf Masters was held by the Victorian Cook Islands Golf Club in 2000 at Churchill Park Golf Club Victoria Australia.

The Cook Islands Masters was hosted in the heart of Timberland country by the Tokoroa Cook Islands Golf Club at there home course Tokoroa Golf Club, Tokoroa New Zealand. At this point the Cook Islands Masters committee had decided to host each Cook Islands Master every two years.

The North and South Cook Islands Golf Clubs joint together and hosted the Cook Islands Golf Masters at Carindale Golf Club Brisbane (QLD) Australia.
